Care for your hair extensions

When you have received your new hair extension, it is important that you follow our care instructions.
If you follow the advice, you can extend the durability of the hair extensions, keep it healthy and shiny for a long time and you will avoid tangles and discoloration.

Hair Scrunchie Recommendations

• Do not use heating tools on your Scrunchie
• Use hair care products that are specially adapted for hair extensions.
• Wash with mild hair products and blow dry with a cold function or cool heat.
• Brush using a special brush made for extensions, eg a boar bristle brush.
• Do not perm, dye or bleach your hair extensions.

Tape extensions

If you have chosen to use tape hair extensions, then you need to think about washing your hair with a coarse cleansing shampoo before inserting the hair extensions.
You should also not use conditioner on your scalp before inserting your hair extensions.
Dry your own hair thoroughly before you start putting in your hair extensions.

• You can style your extensions with heat but use not heat on the mounts.
• Use oil-free hair care products that are specifically made for hair extensions.
• Do not put conditioner on the scalp or on the attachments of your hair extensions.
• Never sleep with wet hair extensions.
• Braid the loose hair before going to sleep.
• Brush out the hair extensions every day using a special brush made for hair extensions.
• Do not perm, dye or bleach your hair extensions.
• Always use heat protection on your hair extensions and do not use heat higher than 180 degrees.

If you put in your tape extensions yourself, remember to use an appropriate amount of your own hair between the tape pieces.
If you use too much hair, the wig will not stick to the real hair.
If you use too little hair, the hair extensions will fall off faster, as we lose about 100 hairs a day.
If the hair extension does not have enough hair to grab hold of to stay in place, the hair in between will wear and fall off.
